Nous avons besoin de personnes matures, indépendantes et astucieuses qui peuvent travailler seules. Nous habitons sur une ferme où il y a de nombreuses choses à faire. Nous donnerons des instructions, mais les tâches sont très variées et les bénévoles doivent être capables de prendre de bonnes décisions par eux-même.

We also need help with DIY work (do-it-yourself, craft) in the house, with mechanics, electricity etc. and we would like handy volunteers.
Cleaning and greasing the leather tack can also be a task they can help with.

Nous avons aussi besoin de bricoleurs (euses) connaisseurs en la matière, pour restaurer les murs de la ferme en silex avec du mortier à la chaux, et divers petits travaux sur les bâtiments.
Nous pourrons aussi être amenés à demander de l'aide pour toutes sortes de tâches ne nécessitant pas de compétences particulières : L'entretien des cuirs de la sellerie, le nettoyage des locaux, de l’aide ménagère, l'entretien des bâtiments...
Entretien des clôtures, du jardin, des murs des bâtiments (mortier à la chaux), des animaux.
Soins aux animaux
Nous avons des animaux à nourrir, du foin et de l'eau à donner aux chevaux, parfois des boxes à curer et des soins à faire. Nous n'utilisons pas de désherbants. Il y a des clôtures à débroussailler à la main et à réparer, un bois à éclaircir et des arbres à couper, des plantations à entretenir. Pour cela des outils tranchants et lourds sont nécessaires.
Si vous avez un bon niveau d'équitation, de l'expérience, et que vous pensez pouvoir nous aider avec le débourrage et l'entraînement des chevaux, nous pouvons prévoir un rôle orienté principalement vers le travail des chevaux.

If you have a good riding level, experience and you think you can help with horse and foal training, we can plan to have you work mainly with the horses and less at the outside maintenance. In this case, craftmanship skills are not as important but I ask at least one month here to have a real work done. The training consists on grooming and exercising in the ring and do ground work. We have 3 young horses to work (trained with the natural horsemanship way). We have a 6 years old green horse to train on dressage and jumping. We have also other horses and ponies to train (14 in total). You can also go for a ride in your free time, there are plenty trails around and our mature horses are used to that. You will need to purchase a specific riding insurance in France (36 €) if you want to ride on outdoor trails.
We need mature, independent and resourceful persons who can work on their own. We live on a farm where there are many things to do. We will give you instructions, but the task is very versatile and volunteers have to be able to take wise decisions themselves.
We have animals to feed, hay and water to give to the horses, sometimes boxes to
clean and animals to treat. Ther
e are fences to clean and repair, woods to clear
and trees to trim. Sharp and/or heavy tools have to be used for these purposes.
The horses may have to be watered in the fields with the water tank and we need to drive with the trailer.
In winter the big balls of hay are put in the racks with the tractor.
Volunteers can help cleaning the house, saddlery or any other building that needs it.
Later in winter or spring we will have some restoration like rooms to paint etc. I will undergo a surgery and I’ll be a little handicapped for a while. So I might need help to take care of my animals, driving me around, etc.
